Product Description

Developed by Animalhouse Fitness, MonkeyFeet is a patented, ratchet-based shoe attachment uniquely designed to hold a standard dumbbell, up to 160 LBS in weight. This innovation allows athletes to lift DBs with their feet just as they would with their hands, opening up dozens of leg training movements (leg extensions, high knees, hamstring curls, raises, donkey kicks, etc.) without the need of expensive machines.

Sold as singles, MonkeyFeet work interchangeably on the left and right foot, and they are equipped to fit most shoe sizes. Each 1.2 LB attachment is constructed from high-end materials and incorporates ratchet technology borrowed from the action sports world, keeping the dumbbell secured below the heel for optimal comfort and freedom of motion. Just fold, clamp, and ratchet to secure the DB, then get your work in. Leg Day can now move from the gym to the park, home, work . . . MonkeyFeet’s portability puts no limits on where you train.

Monkey Feet? More like Bees Knees!
I bought a pair of monkey feet to use in my gym as a substitute for some of the equipment we don’t have or can’t fit in the space (a leg extension or hamstring curl machine, for instance). They’ve been great in that capacity, but they’re also versatile as hell in a whole bunch of other capacities, and can contribute to workouts in a bunch of different ways. The only downside is the cost, which may prove prohibitive to some people. But for that price you great a very-well made piece of equipment that’s really worthwhile.

Expensive
Good product Sucks it costs so much. Literally tried multiple competitors and returned everyone. This works no questions asked for at least 50 lb dumbbells.

Great idea...execution leaves alot to be desired
The Monkey Feet are a great concept. In practice, I find them to be clunky at best. The grip they maintain on the weights is okay. The weights have never fallen out of the "feet" but they can slide around causing the balance to be uneven. I'm a size 12 and the device accomodates only my heel so again, it feels precarious. The padding also fell off during my first use. I barely noticed a difference in comfort without the padding but it made me question the overall quality of the product.

Completely happy
I have replaced standard hamstring curls on a bench with the MonkeyFeet and am completely happy. I feel like my lower back is not under the same pressure and can feel the contraction well.

Good in theory but bad in practice
In a nutshell the concept is great but in practicality it plays out terribly. I found the lack of knee stability puts my tendons and ligaments at risk, especially if I were to go heavy as needed. This is more for the leg extension movements. The leg curls aren’t too bad but knee stability is still a concern. The last thing i want to do is put my body in a susceptible position and take unnecessary risks which may result in at best; a couple of weeks off training and worse, surgery and rehab. Cannot in good conscience recommend this because of that.
