Rogue C-68S Bar
Rogue C-68S Bar
Product Description
The Rogue C-68S Bar is a 25mm women’s version of the C-70S Short Bar. Introduced in competition at the CrossFit Games, this bar is nearly 11” shorter than our standard women’s Bella Bar, but sacrifices almost nothing in features or functionality. In fact, the C-68S Bar is among the most robust barbells we’ve ever produced, achieving an F-Scale rating of F-12R in durability testing. The gap between the sleeves is also a standard 51.5”, allowing athletes to rack the bar on any standard rack and perform movements that haven’t traditionally been practical with short bars, such as the snatch and overhead squats. In fact, the "S" in the bar's name stands for "Snatch," as the bar was developed to allow athletes to perform Olympic barbell movements in the tight confines of the CrossFit Games floor.
Available here with a Black Cerakote shaft finish and bright zinc sleeves, the C-68S can benefit any woman training in tight quarters, be it a small garage gym or busy training facility. The space-saving efficiency created by the 68.25” shaft opens up lanes for more athletes to train in the same space at the same time. In cramped home gyms, it also enables full Olympic lifting movements—including proper hand placement on the snatch grip—with more room to spare and easier storage between workouts.

Like the Bella Bar, the American-made C-68S features dual knurl marks (with our signature Bella knurl), quality bronze bushings, and a 190,000 PSI tensile strength shaft. To ensure long-term performance, each steel shaft is treated with our exclusive Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) process, giving it superior fatigue resistance. Additionally, due to the shorter lever arm of the shorter sleeves, there is decreased stress on the shaft with each drop as compared to a bar with standard length sleeves. These combined elements help give the bar its superior F-12R durability rating (learn more about the F-Scale here), and ensure that it should last even longer than standard-length bars in high-volume gyms.

KEY FEATURES OF THE C-68S BAR
GAME-CHANGING RACKABILITY
As perhaps the biggest feature of its design, the C-68S can be racked conveniently on most standard power racks / squat stands, dramatically improving its functional benefits over most women’s short bars. Additionally, while the sleeves are shorter on this model, the 51.5” of spacing between them is the same as a full-length women’s barbell, allowing athletes to perform movements that haven’t traditionally been practical with short bars, such as the snatch and overhead squats. It should be noted that the 7.75” of loadable sleeve length is significantly less than that of the Bella Bar (13.0”). There is no center knurl, and the Rogue logo is included in the center of the shaft as part of the Cerakote finish.
USED IN THE CROSSFIT GAMES
The “S” in the bar’s name literally stands for “Snatch,” and refers to its origins (along with the men’s C-70S) in the CrossFit Games, when narrow competition lanes in snatch events required a better type of short bar design. The standard width between sleeves gives the feel of a normal barbell, but the shorter sleeves allow athletes to work in much closer proximity to each other while also maximizing the number of athletes per heat. The C-68S, in its current form, made its competitive debut at the 2021 Games in Madison, Wisconsin.
SPACE-SAVING EFFICIENCY
The advantages of a short bar go well beyond competition lanes. In large gyms, the design of the C-68S allows more athletes to train simultaneously, and in a cramped garage gym, the shorter shaft (68.25” vs the 79.13” of a full-length Bella Bar) enables full Olympic lifting movements—including proper hand placement on the snatch grip—with more room to spare and easier storage between workouts.
F-12R DURABILITY RATING
Like the full-length Women’s Bella Bar, the C-68S is manufactured in the USA and equipped with dual knurl marks, quality bronze bushings, and a friction-welded one-piece sleeve design. The 25mm, 190,000 PSI tensile strength steel shaft is treated with our exclusive Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) process for superior fatigue resistance. With its short sleeves, there is also significantly less stress put on the shaft on each drop. As a result, the C-68S scores a rating of F-12R in F-Scale durability testing, one of the highest marks of any barbell we’ve tested.
CERAKOTE SHAFT FINISH
All of our Rogue C-68S Bars feature a Black Cerakote shaft finish. Widely used by firearm manufacturers for its durability in thin applications, this ceramic-based coating can offer superior abrasion, wear, and corrosion resistance over time—up to 100x that of traditional black zinc.
F SCALE™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.
OXIDATION RATE
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.
*Warranty does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.
