Rogue Monster Lite Socket Pull-up Bar Features

Custom Cerakote Color Options
1

Custom Cerakote Color Options

This is our first pull-up bar available in exclusive Cerakote color finishes. Cerakote is used widely in the gun industry for its remarkable durability in thin applications, and it delivers superb abrasion/wear/corrosion resistance over time—100X that of standard black zinc. Match your bar to your existing rack, a team color scheme, etc.

Knurl Option
2

Knurl Option

Both the Cerakote and stainless steel Socket Pull-Up Bar can be ordered in your choice of a Smooth (no knurl) or Knurled version. The knurled bar features a smooth center portion that’s 17.4" wide, with dual knurl marks on each end that match the spacing on standard Olympic and Powerlifting barbells. The knurl pattern is firm enough for a reliable added grip, but non-abrasive.

Quality Rogue Construction
3

Quality Rogue Construction

The Monster Lite Socket Pull-Up Bar is a single, solid round bar, precision machined in the USA using 7-gauge steel. It’s compatible with any 43” space on a Monster Lite Series rack or rig, and is equipped with a pair of durable mounting sockets to insure its stability after installation. Two button-head screws lock the bar into the sockets to prevent spinning (a 7/32” allen wrench is required to tighten), and all needed hardware is provided and finished in Black Zinc. The combined weight of the pull-up bar and sockets (excluding the hardware) is 16LB.

Interchangeability
4

Interchangeability

Customers wishing to purchase multiple Socket Pull-Up Bars of different finishes can swap out one bar for another inside any compatible rack/rig. This allows multiple athletes to switch out bars with/without knurling, or to change colors if a certain team is coming in to train. The bar will need to be dis-assembled from the rack before making a swap.

Part of the Rogue Family

Part of the Rogue Family

The Socket Pull-Up Bar is part of growing arsenal of Rogue weight training equipment featuring new color finish options. You can customize your entire gym with a Cerakote Ohio Bar, Cerakote Bella Bar, or a Monster Lite Power Rack in a range of semi-gloss color finishes.

Heavy duty quality.
I purchased the Monster Lite version with dark blue paint and the smooth stainless bar. Impressive. Solid stainless steel bar, very sturdy, easy to assemble. The usual Rogue quality.

Bolts come loose every couple months
This is a cool concept and initially it was great but I noticed the bar would shift when I started my pull ups. I have to tighten the bolts that keep the bar from spinning every few months. I also only do strict pull ups. No kipping or muscle ups so I am putting minimal stress on these. I make them very tight and regardless they will come loose enough to spin with my finger every couple months and I have to tighten again. For this functionality it is a 2 star product.

nice bar
I have a Vulcan rack that's equivalent to the Monsterlite. The bar is a little smaller, giving me a better grip. I do calisthenics and my hands are quite calloused, so I'm super glad that I chose the knurled version.(stainless) This allows for a much better grip. As usual, Rogue puts out their usual quality...

So sophisticated
This pull up bar stands out so much more than my old regular basic pull up bar my power rack came with! This new pull up bar makes my rack stand out just a little bit better. The Rogue logo in the middle out the bar gives it that nice professional gym look and the knurling on the bar itself gives off that aggressive vibe.. I love it!!

Knurling is Aggressive
Wish I'd ordered the smooth bar instead of the knurled bar. The knurling is much "deeper" or more aggressive than the knurling on my Rogue Ohio bar. So for things like dead hangs or even just my standard pullups, it's painful on my fingers and palms. Not the end of the world but I'd rather NOT have than pain in my palms. Can get around this by wearing gloves, but then I'm putting gloves on and taking them off just for pull-ups during my workout. Again, not that big of a deal, but it is an annoyance. The red looks sharp on my black Monster Lite rack, though. It's good quality, and I'd recommend it (or buy it again), but with the smooth bar instead of the knurled bar option. Also note that the knurling is only on the left 1/3 and right 1/3 of the bar, the middle 1/3 is smooth, which is a little less than shoulder width for me

Poor quality
I’ve bought these several years ago for another monster lite rack I’ve had. The ones I received in the past were a much better quality with a high gloss finish on the sockets. These did not look anything like the ones I’ve purchased in the past.

Thank you for posting your feedback! The Monster Lite/Infinity series sockets are going to be our classic textured black, while the Monster is that MG Black finish.

Great product but needs bar-wide knurling
Just bought for our monster lite rig, and love the interchangability and bar diameter. But I wish the knurling extended across the full width of the bar. I can comfortably grip the knurling, but my wife can't without going to a super-wide grip.
