The attachment mounts easily to an upright using either an integrated 1” pin (for Rogue Monster Uprights) or removable ⅝” detent pin (for Rogue Monster Lite Uprights). Handle adjustments can be made quickly from one athlete to the next using the Rogue patented knurled knob. The 1-3/8” diameter handles provide 18” of usable length, and they’re available in two finish options: Stainless Steel or our Proprietary Matte Black. Convenient knurl marks appear every 6” along each handle to help the user find and repeat a comfortable starting position from workout to workout. We have also included protective UHMW on all contacting surfaces to help protect both the attachment and the rack upright (this protection still applies when the UDA is in “storage mode”).

Key Features of the UDA

Designed in Partnership with Mutant Metals
1

Designed in Partnership with Mutant Metals

The Ultimate Dip Attachment was first developed by Mutant Metals, a family owned and operated manufacturer of quality strength training equipment, based in western Pennsylvania. Rogue was pleased to work with Mutant Metals on adapting our own versions of this accessory, which are manufactured here in Columbus with their blessing.

Removable Handles - 3 Width Options
2

Removable Handles - 3 Width Options

The UDA creates an instant dip station on an existing 3x3” Monster or Monster Lite rack/rig, attaching securely via an included pin (1” for the Monster version, 5/8” for the Monster Lite). The attachment’s 1-3/8” diameter handles can also be removed and placed in one of three holes, then secured quickly using the Rogue patented knurled knob . This creates three handle width options with their own grip spacing ranges: Narrow (11.5” - 20”), Mid (15” - 24”), and Wide (19” - 27.5”). The handles will remain at the same 30-degree angle in relation to one another no matter where they are positioned.

Handle Knurling + 2 Finish Options
3

Handle Knurling + 2 Finish Options

All UDA handles have 18” of usable length and are knurled for a superior grip, with convenient knurl marks provided every 6” to help athletes repeat comfortable starting grip positions. Customers can select between a Stainless Steel handle finish or our Proprietary Matte Black finish, which utilizes a process that effectively transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it, greatly increasing the handles’ long-term corrosion resistance and color endurance. Additional frame colorways will be available in the future.

Quality Rogue Construction

Quality Rogue Construction

Rogue has made some notable adaptations to the original Mutant Metals UDA design, including the use of a single-piece formed and welded tube; reinforcement of the frame with a tubular triangle gusset; and the introduction of a Rogue patented knurled knob for set-up with an integrated protective plastic washer. All welded joints are also slotted/tabbed prior to welding for additional structural strength. Tight tolerances are enforced to ensure a more snug fit on the upright. Every Ultimate Dip Attachment we manufacture is fully built out and tested, with modifications made to any that don’t meet the tightness requirements.

UDA review
It works great, it's very sturdy and has little "give".

Flawless.
I've had my eye on the MM UDA for a while now and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger because it's a beautifully functional piece with high attention to detail. I go out of my way to try and find flaws with products I intend on reviewing so I can be as objective as possible and this is one of those rare products that's hard to even nitpick on. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. If you're on the fence, do it. You'll be happy you did.

Very nice dip attachment!
Mutant Metals Ultimate Dip Attachment (UDA). Very nice dip attachment! Since I am small older woman (63” tall, 130lbs, age 61) I wanted the adjustability that the UDA offers. I also wanted a solution that I could take on and off my RML-490C rack relatively easily. The UDA delivered on this. I am using bands as an assist, hoping I can progress to eventually doing bodyweight dips. My RML-490C rack is not bolted down, but nothing moves. I mount the UDA on the left upright at the front of the rack. I place the bars at holes 3 and 5 so that my hands are about 18” apart (shoulder width), facing the UDA. I got the Textured Black with stainless steel handles. There is a small amount of Red finish at 5 or 6 places on the mount, but that is no big deal to me. I don’t store the UDA on the rack, I attach and remove it every time. I feel like the UDA might get in my way if I leave it on, especially with the handles on. Removing the handles seems like as much effort as just removing the whole assembly. The UDA is heavy, but after some practice I can attach it fairly quickly. Since I have sensitive skin I use soccer shin guards to keep the bands from bothering me while I dip.

Great, but 1 flaw
Everything about this attachment is fantastic. The build quality is excellent, and the stainless steel handles are such an amazing touch. The only issue is that the black powder coat on one side already chipped. I noticed a bubble near the back side screw hole on the frame when I took it out of the packing, and it chipped when I rubbed my finger over it. Pretty sure that chip will get much worse over time so I am hoping there is a remedy for it.
